June 21 Shopping for My TurtleJune 18 The Nintendo Connection Tour 09!I just received a newsletter from Nintendo about this year’s Connection Tour on 8 & 9 of August at Sylvia Park~ I’m going to check out Wii Sports Resort and Wii Motion Plus there. I’m definitely going. Any Wii or DS fans out there? http://news.nintendo.com.au/2009/06/its-back-and-bigger-than-ever/ June 12 Wanting Wii Sports ResortI just watched the Wii Sports Resort intro movie on the official Nintendo website. It’s so cool with a motion plus sensor that tracks precise hand/wrist/arm movement. I’m definitely going to get this! http://wii.com/jp/movies/wii-sports-resort-movie1/ May 23 Theobroma Chocolate LoungeToday Mei, Derek and I went to Theobroma Chocolate Lounge at St Lukes for an afternoon treat. We each ordered a waffle and hot chocolate drink. The shop specializes in Belgian chocolate. I had a crispy waffle drizzled in thick liquid chocolate with ice cream. The texture of the waffle was good but the taste was average. The thick liquid chocolate tasted a bit weak for me. I also had a Belgian dark chocolate drink in a cup. The hot mug version looks cool but I didn’t think it was worth the extra charge just for the candle. I liked my drink with its strong chocolate flavor and the flakes. The treats are generally overpriced but since there was a special this Saturday, it was okay. The staff were quite efficient. All but one waffle arrived within 5 minutes because the machine only makes 2 waffles per go. It would have been perfect if the shop isn’t located inside a mall, where we can relax and enjoy street views like people do in Europe. We will try the Parnell Chocolate Boutique next time. May 20 Bush Reserve in AlfristonMy boss and I literally spent hours in the bush this morning showing potential contractors one of our current projects in Alfriston. I got my little gumboots on, thinking that it is the best investment on footwear I have ever made. It was a wet and cold morning so we went for a tea break at the Botanic Gardens on Hill Road. The building is surrounding by foliage that grows right up to its exterior walls. Good luck to contractors getting materials and tools to the site. May 19 Meeting Jill JillKitty and Ben had Mandy and I over at their home last night for a delicious meal and to meet their new puppy – Jill Jill. Ben is an incredible cook. He made the most tasty seafood chowder and a great pork dish as main. We think that Ben passed with flying colours as Kitty’s hubby! Mandy and I were also introduced to Jill Jill, Kitty and Ben’s new puppy, for the first time. Jill Jill is just so adorable. And here’s a photo of clumsy TC getting used to how to hold a puppy. Mandy is way better at this than I am. May 03 Talking about YouTube - 2009 America's 11 Most Endangered Historic PlacesLove this video. Would be nice if NZHPT makes one for New Zealand. May 01 Wii Fit Rechargeable BatteryAfter 22hours and 35mins of using my wii fit, the original Panasonic battery that came with it finally ran out. I took a detour to JB Hi-Fi at City after work and got myself a rechargeable pack. The instructions states that the fully charged pack can last 20 hours. Looks like it will be another couple of months before I charge it again, unless I start playing hard out every night. |
